Visits!

We were so happy to have hosted my grandparents, my mom and her husband last week. the kids LOVED all the attention, and the cake and the special trips we went on. I didn't get nearly as many pictures as I would have liked, but I did get some keepers. So blessed to have had this time, especially with my grandparents.

Have I really not posted Easter pictures yet? My goodness. Where is the time going. Sorry Judy! :) Here are the adorable Easter pics of my kiddos getting so big! And then a video of the kids just making a game out of kicking the bed. Very fun!

Free Saturdays

I LOVE stuff that happens on Saturdays that are free. For kids I mean. There is a whole world that opens up that I never had thought of before I had kids. I never knew I needed it. But Saturdays sometimes you are looking for something to do. There is no sleeping in (college days), there is no watching movies (pre, during, post college days) and there is definitely work around the house because when there are young children around, that work is done by either one spouse or when kids are down. So that still leaves me with looking for something to do with the kids on Saturday. I was lucky enough to be guided to free Lowes/home depot Saturdays by my dear friend Kristal who is is in the same boat. And now Hannah is at an age where she is starting to really get into this stuff and all the crafts and activities they make available to you. This past Saturday Lowes had a make your own bird feeder. Hannah was very proud of her finished product. the only problem is after we hung it up outside her window with no birds 5 days later, she's a little confused why they aren't eating her birdseed. she keeps asking me about it and saying with conviction, they'll come in a couple of minutes, right? Oh dear.

Pippi Longstocking

My daughter is expressing herself. That's the good part. The part I'm trying to swallow is when she ends up looking like Pippi Longstocking, although it looks very cute. I want to put a sign on her that says, my mom did not dress me this morning. I'm sure many parents have felt like this in the past. But I love just opening up her drawer and telling her to pick something out. It gives her a feeling of independence and frees me up to do the other 97 million things that I'm trying to get done in the morning. So, here she is....Pippi Longstocking is coming in to your world.....(are you singing it yet?)

Art Musuem

Our art museum had free admission last Saturday with lots of great kids activities. There was a magic show (so-so), craft area (the kids loved making their wands!), baroque concerts (which John of course loved!), a new Chihuly exhibit (my favorite), and the kids got to experiment on different instruments (I think Isaiah had the most fun with this!). Great day together. :)

It's a....

Gosh, I feel like I just did this post not too long ago announcing what Isaiah was. Someone recently told John they thought that I'd been pregnant the entire time that I've been in Oklahoma. Well, it hasn't been quite that long, I might not have survived had that been the case. But I'm so excited that our third child is a girl, that Hannah will have a sister to fight with and love her whole life and that Isaiah will have yet another sister to stick up for and protect. I'm constantly telling Hannah that the three things her and Isaiah need to do for each other (and not discipline, tell on, hit, fight, etc) is to love, protect and play with each other. Here is to hoping that one of these days that will start to stick. I'll get pics of the ultrasound up here soon, but in the meanwhile here are some other cuties of the other two. :)
And the pictures of the house are for my mom who wanted to see the daffodils. :)

Blogging

Sometimes I feel like blogging is like talking to an old friend in that when you keep up the conversations, its easy to talk about the day to day happenings. But when its been a while, you think back and there is nothing noteworthy to discuss because the day to day things seemed so far away. John has kindly reminded me that its been 3 months since my last post. so, where do I begin? Not sure....All three children have been making sure that every last ounce of my energy has been used up at the end of the day and I tease john a little too often that my two children out of my womb are causing me to buy a ticket to crazy town where I can be alone for a minute. In all seriousness though, they are growing up way to fast and I know these will be the days I look back upon and miss and wish I had cherished more. the pattering of the feet. there is lots of that these days....
Recent interaction with Hannah:
Me trying to blog on my computer and she pulls out the plug on my computer and i lose everything i had worked on.
I leave the room. very frustrated.
Hannah follows me. of course.
Me: Hannah, what do you need? I need to be alone for 30 seconds.
Hannah: I want to be in here with you Mommy.
Me: Why Hannah? (Still very frustrated)
Hannah: Because I love you.

umm...yeah....kind of hard to stay mad...
