Pippi Longstocking

My daughter is expressing herself. That's the good part. The part I'm trying to swallow is when she ends up looking like Pippi Longstocking, although it looks very cute. I want to put a sign on her that says, my mom did not dress me this morning. I'm sure many parents have felt like this in the past. But I love just opening up her drawer and telling her to pick something out. It gives her a feeling of independence and frees me up to do the other 97 million things that I'm trying to get done in the morning. So, here she is....Pippi Longstocking is coming in to your world.....(are you singing it yet?)

Art Musuem

Our art museum had free admission last Saturday with lots of great kids activities. There was a magic show (so-so), craft area (the kids loved making their wands!), baroque concerts (which John of course loved!), a new Chihuly exhibit (my favorite), and the kids got to experiment on different instruments (I think Isaiah had the most fun with this!). Great day together. :)

It's a....

Gosh, I feel like I just did this post not too long ago announcing what Isaiah was. Someone recently told John they thought that I'd been pregnant the entire time that I've been in Oklahoma. Well, it hasn't been quite that long, I might not have survived had that been the case. But I'm so excited that our third child is a girl, that Hannah will have a sister to fight with and love her whole life and that Isaiah will have yet another sister to stick up for and protect. I'm constantly telling Hannah that the three things her and Isaiah need to do for each other (and not discipline, tell on, hit, fight, etc) is to love, protect and play with each other. Here is to hoping that one of these days that will start to stick. I'll get pics of the ultrasound up here soon, but in the meanwhile here are some other cuties of the other two. :)
And the pictures of the house are for my mom who wanted to see the daffodils. :)

Blogging

Sometimes I feel like blogging is like talking to an old friend in that when you keep up the conversations, its easy to talk about the day to day happenings. But when its been a while, you think back and there is nothing noteworthy to discuss because the day to day things seemed so far away. John has kindly reminded me that its been 3 months since my last post. so, where do I begin? Not sure....All three children have been making sure that every last ounce of my energy has been used up at the end of the day and I tease john a little too often that my two children out of my womb are causing me to buy a ticket to crazy town where I can be alone for a minute. In all seriousness though, they are growing up way to fast and I know these will be the days I look back upon and miss and wish I had cherished more. the pattering of the feet. there is lots of that these days....
Recent interaction with Hannah:
Me trying to blog on my computer and she pulls out the plug on my computer and i lose everything i had worked on.
I leave the room. very frustrated.
Hannah follows me. of course.
Me: Hannah, what do you need? I need to be alone for 30 seconds.
Hannah: I want to be in here with you Mommy.
Me: Why Hannah? (Still very frustrated)
Hannah: Because I love you.

umm...yeah....kind of hard to stay mad...

Christmas Joy

The Lock's had a wonderful christmas and have realized again how blessed we are with wonderful friends and family. Isaiah wasn't really into opening the presents himself, but luckily, Hannah "helped" him. a lot. We had a friend over for christmas dinner that Hannah and Isaiah took to immediately - he brought them presents to.

Is it still fall?

My husband has reminded me several times that the last time I posted it was over a month ago. So I thought I would post the rest of our fall pictures. Never mind that its almost Christmas time. Last month, my mother and aunt came out to watch the kids for John and I so we could take a trip alone. without kids. alone. I forgot what it was like to talk to my husband without being interrupted 72 times! It was wonderful. so here are some pics from that weekend along with some other fall-ish pics.

Our little helpers

We've been enjoying the fallish weather here in OK and have been spending lots of time outdoors before it gets too cold. Our kiddos have been great helpers! Isaiah was decked out for the Eagles game too. I think that was made them win! :)
