Catherine is 6 months

Sitting up. Check.
First two teeth. Check
Spoon feeing. Check.
Sleeping through the night. Check. She keeps confusing us with that one. But the good news is, the bad nights even out the good nights. And we're a little suspicious that she is storing acorns in her cheeks.

Just another day

Just another day in the Lock household, nothing much to report. I've been trying to wean Catherine off her second middle of the night feeding which has caused even less sleep for me in the short term. Hannah is still scolding me for putting the pacifer in Catherine's mouth as "she's just talking! She doesn't need her pac." is a regular phrase for Hannah. For some reason, i actually defend myself to her. She's quite the mother's helper. But she LOVES her sister dearly and still cuddles with her in bed after she gets up almost daily.Covered up with blankets of course.

Balloon Fiesta!

While we were in abq we had the opportunity to go to the balloon fiesta. this was my first time there as well as the kids. Isaiah's thoughts were: "Fans Loud!" Both the kids loved it! And I got kind of carried away with the pictures as well so bear with me...

Catherine's first hike

We were in abq last week for the balloon fiesta and had a great time with granny, gramps, cousins and aunts and uncles. We of course had to take catherine on her first hike. every time i stopped walking she woke up to tell me (or yell as the case may be) that i needed to keep walking. the kids had a great time with rocks - is there anything better?

Away in a manger

For some reason, EVERY time john sings away in a manger to Catherine, we get these smiles. its pretty darn cute. other songs will not do it. just this one.

Palo Duro Canyon

You might be saying to yourself, there was a Philly Part 1, but not part 2. Yes that's correct. Its too late and I don't feel like it now. :) So, last weekend we drove to Palo Duron Canyon in Texas and had a great time! Its about a 4 hour drive from us, very doable with a dvd player. We stayed in a quaint cabin with two rooms so the big kids stayed in one room and Catherine stayed with us. We were .....well....it was snug, i'll say that. Perfect cool weather and waking up with coffee a view of the canyon and john playing his guitar was quite nice.
