Christmas Joy

The Lock's had a wonderful christmas and have realized again how blessed we are with wonderful friends and family. Isaiah wasn't really into opening the presents himself, but luckily, Hannah "helped" him. a lot. We had a friend over for christmas dinner that Hannah and Isaiah took to immediately - he brought them presents to.

My husband has reminded me several times that the last time I posted it was over a month ago. So I thought I would post the rest of our fall pictures. Never mind that its almost Christmas time. Last month, my mother and aunt came out to watch the kids for John and I so we could take a trip alone. without kids. alone. I forgot what it was like to talk to my husband without being interrupted 72 times! It was wonderful. so here are some pics from that weekend along with some other fall-ish pics.

Hannah's first haircut!

Her hair was getting long, I know. But we're trying to grow her bangs out and it was just so wispy and blonde that I thought it would be okay. Well, as you can tell from the pre pictures, it really wasn't okay. it was just out of control. Hannah had several tears in the chair until I finally convinced her to lick the lollipop I was dragging over her lips. Then, it was smooth sailing!

Yay! We're finally home! What a wonderful month it was in Philadelphia with trips to the beach, birthday celebrations, swimming in the pool, and cousin time! The kids had a great time with their cousins and Hannah is still asking where they are. Since we've been back Isaiah has started walking!! And oddly enough, Hannah woke up that morning telling me that Isaiah was going to walk. that afternoon, sure enough! I think they had a conversation about it! I've tried to pick some of the best of the best from our trip.

So in the past couple of weeks, my little boy turned 1!!!! and we're in philly for a month seeing family and friends. The kids did great on the plane on the way out here and we celebrated his birthday two days after we got into town. The below pics are from that special day. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by and it was a whole year ago that we were blessed with our little (or big) boy.

Big Girl Bed

We finally moved Hannah into a big girl bed. Not because she wasclimbing out of it and not because we thought she was too old for it(although many well meaning people thought she was), but was was askingfor it. Sleep in a big girl bed? Over and over. She is so excited abouther new bed that although she has been in it for a week now, stillevery morning when I get her up, she tells me that she slept in a biggirl bed that night. Very sweet.

We had our first family vacation with just us and the kids last week and it was really great. We stayed at a place called Hillspeak where there are hundreds of acres of land and cottages to stay in and some neat towns/lakes very close by. The below pictures are from that trip!

So the good news as to why I haven't posted in a while is because I got a new camera! Yay! I'm very excited about this camera and the pictures is has been taking. Unfortunately, I didn't think to order a new camera cord so I haven't been able to download any of the pics. I've got lots to catch up on! This first post is from the first couple of days I had the camera and was using the kids as models. I happen to think they're pretty cute models. :)

Beating the Heat

Ugh....yesterday's high, a whopping 108 degrees. Just yuck. Although I am thankful that I don't have an 8lb baby hibernating in me at least. For that, I'm grateful. :) So we're trying to beat the heat (a cold front came in last night so that today's high is only 102....brrrr.....) and do stuff very early in the morning and find AC wherever we can. Isaiah is getting so big, is starting to cruise around furniture and is annoying hannah every chance he can get. I hear the words, being said very forcefully and somewhat loud "NO THANK YOU ISAIAH" at least 20 times a day. As soon as he is making his way in her direction so tries to tell him ever so nicely that she does not wish for him to come and chuck the books/toys/etc. that she is currently playing very nicely with. I know this can not even be termed as the beginning....

ABQ trip

Whew....we have discovered that Isaiah only likes to sleep in teh car when its a 20 min drive home and we don't want him to fall asleep because it will completely negate his nap. When we're in the car for 8 hours and are planning on him napping so he's not a crying mess, he refuses. Well....it wasn't that bad. He did sleep for 30 min in the car in place of his 2 hour nap and overall the drive to ABQ went well. We had a wonderful time there though, including sopapillas, the Abq aquarium, a short mountain hike, seeing cousins, lots of green chile and of course granny and gramps. I had to be selective in the great pictures so it must have been a good time!

So I know one of these days I'm supposed to start feeling old or getting upset about my age, but I really still think that 31 is so young...well...maybe not so young, but young at least. Despite John ordering AARP for me and telling me that he's going to get wrinkle cream for me next year, the age thing isn't a thing yet. So I had an awesome birthday yesterday, mostly because it was john's day off so I got to get myself a pedicure and we went out to dinner and John made me a cake (which I think the wilson girls bartered that into the wedding vows that the husbands had to agree to make a cake for their wives for their entire marriage - right hol?). So anyway, here are two pics from my birthday, you'll notice the lack of candles on the cake because we didn't have any so I had to scrounge. I don't actually think I'm turning 21. the 2 candle is from hannah's b-day last year and the balloon candle is the last remaining candle from her birthday party.

Mothers Day

With John always working on Sundays, mothers day (and fathers day for that matter) hadn't been celebrated it a way in which I might find relaxing....can you read between the lines???....so with that said, I decided this year from here on out, we'll be celebrating mothers day and fathers day on the Saturday before so we can actually do something on those days! I had a wonderful mothers day on saturday (although Isaiah forgot it was mothers day and didn't let me sleep in) and we all went out to breakfast at a wonderful french delicatessen in our area, followed it up with hanging out at the village fair, went home, I got to take a nap (wahoo!) and got an incredible gift from my hubby of a salon day for next weekend. Yay! So all in all, it was a great day and I can't imagine any mother feeling more blessed than I do to have my wonderful children, who teach me more about myself and God than I ever thought possible. Here's to you kiddos!

These are only semi official before pictures of the front of our house because I didnt' take them before John spent 8 hours digging out all the grass. So this is with the grass dug out and some of the old plants left in. As the guy who's helping us with our landscaping so aptly put it, "really, there's no where to go but up".....yes, it's pretty stark. I'm hoping to have after pictures this weekend when we finish getting our new plants in. Hannah helped out lots with putting the new dirt in, as you can see....

Okay, well, not Christmas really, maybe Easter? And not the two front teeth, the two bottom teeth. Yes, Isaiah's two bottom teeth have cut through and they're the cutest two little bottom teeth since...well...since Hannah's. I tried taking a picture of them but he didn't like that two much. :) Below are some updated pictures of the month. Goodness, it has been a long time since I've updated this. Between Hannah being sick and passing it to the rest of the family and us doing landscaping on the front of the house we have been very busy. When John sees this post he'll be very upset that I posed the cute picture of Isaiah below in a girls hat. But he's so cute in it, right?

I love Mondays

Yes, you read right. Mondays are my favorite day of the week. I know we are in a very unique circumstance because since John is working most of the day on Sunday, he has off on Mondays. For most families, mondays are the start of a long work week. But for us, its the last day we savor before the work week begins again. Its a day that we get to spend together as a family and decompress. So, below are some pictures I took of John and Isaiah today as well as some other weekend pics. I think Hannah is contemplating that her brown dress doesn't match her black shoes in that last pic. :)

As most of you know, John was kind enough to "support" me leaving him and the kids for almost a week to go on vacation with my mom to Jamaica. Judy came out to keep him company and it sounds as if they had a great week! Instead of John realizing how much I do with the kids, I think he envied my job taking care of them all day as they all had so much fun! Whoops. :) My mom and I had a wonderful trip though with lazy days, sitting on the beach, going to the pool and drinking our fair share of banana coladas and hummingbirds. Not sure what was in the hummingbird but there was definitely alcohol and fruit. The perfect mix! Below are the best of the best pics from our trip.

My little girl is old enough for a bike? No way. We bought hannah her first radio flyer tricycle. Her legs are a little too short to completely reach the pedals, but she's learning and has almost got the pedaling thing down. She's been having a lot of fun riding on it even without pedaling. And isaiah and I had a little photo shoot not too long ago, I swear he was posing for some of these! There are some classics. :)

While my dad was in town and we were enjoying 80 degree weather, we took advantage of it and drove out to arcardia lake in edmond. There was a park and a lake and lots of fun trails. Unfortunatelty, Isaiah was sleeping in the car when we took the below pictures. We had a great morning though and a great visit: the kids loved having "Pap" here.

Valentines Day....a little late

The Sunday before valentines day, John took Hannah on a mini daddy daughter date to a valentines day church event. "Hannah" made me a Valentine :). It was a little hard for her to let go of though, because when she came home, she didn't want to really give it to me and proceeded to try and take the hearts off the card. On well. :) It's still treasured! Then the next morning on valentines day, hannah got to open her cards from granny and gramps, gramma and gigi and granpa. She had lots of fun with all the cards and stickers. Her parents will have fun "helping" her pick out some neat books. :) We then went off to the zoo and had a great day!

Family Visits

The lock family had some very special visitors last week when my mom, grandmother and grandfather came out to visit us. The day they arrived the weather was 75 degrees and they day the left I think was 10 degrees. they were one day delayed (yay for us though!) due to the snowstorm that hit, and although we were stuck in the house, the kids loved having them here! On the nice days we went to the park (see pics below) and on the cold days we snuggled by the fire and read books. Hannah is still asking for Gigi, Granpa and Granmom and points out "their" chairs. The other milestone that happened was that Isaiah ate his first solid food! We're still working on the whole "swallowing" bit, but last night he did much better. He'll get the hang of it soon I'm sure! :

Hannah turned two on January 19th! Oh yes, so did my husband, well, he turned the big 2-9. :) The past two years, each day has been a blessing getting to know this spirited, independent and fun loving little girl. The big day celebrating John and Hannah's birthday started by going out to breakfast at Ingrids with the four of us and Judy who came out to celebrate the birthdays, at a local yummy German cafe/diner. I thought it would be a treat for Hannah to have french toast. She must have thought it was going to be good for her because she refused to eat it. Did I mention she had a little stubborn streak in her? She did however eat her weight in bacon. That night I made a yummy cheesy macaroni and cheese for Hannah. Unfortunately, I think she had a stomach bug and she didn't eat that either. :( She did however have a great time opening her presents. Granny and Gramps bought her a kitchen set which she LOVED and John and I got her a child's tent and camping chair which she also loved. It was a good night for her.

Hannah turns 2 this wednesday and we celebrated with her friends today. Her party was at build a bear workshop and her friends present were Caroline, alex, nic, christian and of course Isaiah. After the kids built their bears they indulged in a chocolate teddy bear cake I made. I will say it was a labor of love. Certainly not ready to decorate cakes for a living, but for a two year olds party, i think it passed with flying colors. The pictures include our whole fun day!

Hannah and Isaiah have been a lot of fun to watch together recently. He looks up at her with stars in his eyes and I know its only just beginning. The locks have been preparing for christmas and we're very excited about Hannah's first year to really get excited about it. We decorated our christmas tree last week (one of the pics below is of hannah looking at an elf that belonged to Howard and Helen Lock I believe). She's still loving all of her teddy bears and Isaiah, who is now 4 months!!!!, has just been enjoying life (even though he still refuses to sleep through the night. :) ) So enjoy the pics, sorry there are so many, it's been a while!

It's a Cowboy Christmas

Only in Oklahoma are their parades with long horned bulls and john deere's. Yup. We went to a parade last weekend in the bitter cold to see the cowboy chrismtas parade. Hannah enjoyed see the cows and horses, John enjoyed seeing the John Deere and the cars, Isaiah enjoyed sort of sleeping in the stroller in a gazillion layers. Mommy enjoyed coming home and having some hot chocolate. :)

Bass Pro Shop - who knew?

The Bass Pro Shops, which sell outdoor and camping equipment, have a fun holiday display at all of their stores. I went thinking that Hannah would enjoy the Christmas trees and coloring an elf mask and all sorts of other Christmas related displays. Well, after we had toured the whole store what really got Hannah was a kids camping tent and three kid sized chairs. That was all she cared about. For oh about 45 minutes or so. Below are pictures of where her chairs ended up and her running around the space. She had a ball!

Thanksgiving

The Lock family drove to abq for thanksgiving this year and despite still not having a dvd player (as also happened on our philly trip) due to technical difficulties Hannah did great on the car ride there and back. Isaiah pretty much slept the whole time. He likes sleepign when I'm not sleeping. :) I wasn't very good about a camera during our trip, but Granny (john's mom) must have been very good all year because she was granted several good pictures of all the grandkids. Below are some pictures of the day. Most of the pictures include Ryan (age 5) who is Beth's (John's sister) and Brian's son and Marcus (Rob - John's brother) and Debbie's son who is six weeks older than Isaiah. I also posted a very cute video of Isaiah's first belly laugh and Hannah entertaining him so to speak. (by the way, at the end of the video, the "book" she's reading to him is my weight watchers book.)

So I've been a little sheepish to update my blog because I got on my high "sleeping" horse. The day after I posted that last blog Isaiah went back to getting up 2-3 times a night. He must have read my blog. So, latest updates: John went on a camping trip with his Dad last weekend and my mom was kind enough to join me to help me put the kiddos to bed. Unfortunately, they both have the same bedtime (which I have tried to maneuver but they have sort of set their own bedtimes) and they are tough to put down at the same time. Last time I did it when John had to work late, all three of us ended up crying. :) We had a great visit with my mom though and there some great pics below of the time she spent here.

Swaddle Heaven

For those of you who remember Hannah's sleeping habits when she was younger, you remember that she was addicted to her swaddle. Couldn't sleep a wink without it. I think we finally broke her of it when she was about 10 months old when she kept rolling over in the swaddle but couldn't get back over and was stuck on her tummy. Not pretty. So I was reluctant to start Isaiah on the swaddle addiction but Mommy has been getting tired at night with several feedings so I went for it. Yes, sweet sleep. Isaiah now only has a 3AM feeding (well, for two nights in a row, but that's a pattern, right???) and then a 6 AM feeding (yes, that IS daytime). Below are some pictures and videos from the past couple of weeks that have stolen my heart. :)

Orr Family Farm

Last Friday, John was kind enough to take work off early to indulge me in going to a farm with the kids. We had a great time! There were train rides and hayrides and pumpkin picking and a petting farm. Hannah was in her glory days. Below are pictures of the fun afternoon!

Isaiah's Baptism

John should really be doing this post as he knows more about the day than I do, but Isaiah was baptized on Thursday, October 28th - which is a feast day I can't remember. :) Father Haifley performed the baptism along with Father Bright, and my dear friends Kristal and Liz (and her children) were all in attendance. I can't believe Isaiah is already old enough for the bumbo! I'm not sure how old hannah was, but I think it was at least 3 months. I've also included pictures of Hannah readign to Isaiah, which she does an awful lot. If we could just keep the book down below at his feet, and not in is eye, or his head, we would all be much happier. :)

Lastly, I included two pictures of hannah around the same age (10 weeks) and it's interesting to see their similarities and how much bigger isaiah is.

By rents, I mean grandparents and great grandparents. What a blessing it is to have my grandparents meet and get to know my kids. One that many people don't enjoy, I feel very blessed to have that. Below are some pictures of those special moments!

Two Months old!

Okay, I know I'm interupting my philly series but Isaiah is two months old today! So of course I have to blog about that. :) We went to the drs. today and he weighs 12lbs 4 ounces (I think that's the 60%) and he's 23 inches long (I think around the 50%). Such a big healthy boy! And he was smiling for the camera today so we had to get some good pics.

There are just so many fun pictures that I decided to devote Part 1 to pictures of Hannah and Isaiah and their cousins. Now, admittedly, most of the great ones are of Hannah and Galadriel, but there are some cute ones of the four of them as well. Alot of the pictures that you see will be of them at Buehlers which is like a bed and breakfast in the Poconos that has a lake and lots of land, and chickens and a pony etc. It was a wonderful few days there and hannah had a blast running all over the campus and petting the pony. The dreaded pacifier

One of the struggles the locks are dealing with now is the pacifier. Hannah only gets her when she sleeps, Isaiah has his all the time. This is all very confusing for Hannah as she would like to have hers all the time. So she now spends her time either giving Isaiah his, taking his out of his mouth or chair, picking it up and "showing" it to us. Needless to say, its on Hannah's mind quite a lot. Below is a video of a scene that happens several times daily. Along with some other cute pics of course!

Smile!

Okay, now I know I'm biased, but Isaiah has the cutest smile, tied with hannah of course. He is four week old today and I got his first responsive smile on camera! Well, it was his second, but after I realized he was actually smiling at me, I ran and got my camera and got him to smile again. So precious! It makes all those 1 1/2 hour feedings in teh middle of the night worth it :)

Playtime

Below are pics from our latest trip to the park and our version on water play. Anything that has to do with water including a real pool, a sprinker, a bucket of water is all called a pool by hannah. We're trying to enjoy the last of summer before beautiful fall appears with some last minute "swimming"...and I couldn't help but include the latest and greatest of Isaiah as well. And for you grandparents, who are not satisfied with just the highlights, I've included all the pics on my picasa website :)

No real update here, just getting adjusted to life with two kids! Isaiah is growing like a week and at his 2 week dr. appt. already weighed in at a whopping 9lb12ounces!!! I think hannah was three months before she weighed that. :) He's still up every 2-3 hours at night and mommy is hoping that because he's so big, that will soon come to an end! Some of you may have already seen these pics, but I thought I would add them anyway.

Little Man's first hike

It was such a gorgeous day in OKC today that the Locks just had to take advantage of it and go for a hike. Hannah did great and walked on her own unassisted for much of the way (with a couple of rides on daddy's shoulders) and Isaiah...well, he pretty much slept on moms chest in the snugli. We had a great morning though and below are some pics!

The long awaited day...now known as August 18th. Isaiah Robert Lock was born on August 18th at 6:54PM weighing in a 8lb 15 ounces and measuring 22 inches long. One trial in which which the payoff was more than worth it. So glad to be home now and getting to adjusting to taking care of 2 kids. Hannah has been saying Baby baby baby just about every second (it has replaced her old word of ice which used to be on her mind 24/7) and she gives him lots and lots of kisses and likes to put all of her toys on him. He has been so much fun to have around and we are enjoying getting to know him. Long awaited pics below!

No, we have not changed Isaiah's name and yes I am still pregnant. Going on 40 weeks and 5 days, much to many people's dismay. Granny, Grandma, Gramps, and mom and dad of course. Isaiah is apparently coming in his own sweet time. I have an induction scheduled for the 12th so that if he still decides to hang out, we can give him a little push. So.....since I'm still pregnant and don't have a newborn to take care of, and since I'm a wonderful obliging wife (ahem, John) I was able to get last minute tickets to see one of John's all time favorite artists (and I say artist in the truest sense as John sees almost no one greater in song writing, performing, the whole shebang) Bob Dylan. So John and I headed off to the OKC amphitheater to see Bob Dylan while John's mom graciously watched Hannah for the evening. Below are some fun pics of the evening although nothing could truly capture john's excitement of the night. And Isaiah still didn't show up (which I thought would have made the whole evening complete).

So I'm 39 weeks pregnant today. I'm counting the days, hours, minutes until I get to meet Isaiah and be a mother of two. I've so been looking forward to this day that I've sort of forgotten what I'm giving up at the same time. Hannah turned 18 months this past week and it has been such a wonderful 18 months with her. She is such a joy to be around and even when she tests me beyond what I think I can do, she melts my heart the next second and she teaches me a new capacity for love. So now I'm sitting here realizing that these next couple of days, hours, minutes will be the last as a mother of one. She has all my attention, love and smiles and pretty soon, that will all be split. Now, don't get me wrong, I know you're capacity for love doubles, triples and multiplies beyond measure with each child you have. But I also realize that I do want to cherish these last moments as a mother of one, and love up on her every minute that I can. Below are some of my all time favorite pictures of Hannah and I. Talking

So Hannah has really taken off in the last couple of weeks with trying to talk. Now, don't get me wrong, her words aren't necessarily very enunciated, but we get the general gist. It's pretty cute. Below is a video of some of her words, a video of her dancing at dinner and then one of her first ponytail!!! So cute. I had failed to go out and buy her any bows so my dear friend Liz fixed that problem and bought her all sorts of bows. It looks great! When I can get her to keep them in. :)

Getting adjusted

So Hannah is adjusting well although her sleeping at the new house has not been perfected just yet. She's enjoying all the new space though and is getting to be such a big girl! :) Below are some pictures of us moving (I think the day before the move), ones of us at the zoo the other day and one of her playing in her new playroom.

So we're officially in. We moved on Saturday and are getting things unpacked (slowly) and are getting furniture into the right rooms. Always a task. Hannah is adjusting well and we're loving our new neighborhood. We had such great help from so many people on Saturday, it was truly overwhelming and we couldn't have done it without all of the volunteers! Pictures to come of how we've set things up shortly...we're still getting to that. :)

I'm not sure if it's because I'm large and pregnant, but this weather forecast seemed very daunting to me...Notice that on Thursday and Sunday they don't say it's going to be hot. The word hot must be reserved for days of 97 and above....hmmm....

So it has been so hot here in OKC that even though we're moving in less than 2 weeks I got a bee in my bonnet to go out and buy a kiddie pool for Hannah so that we could have something to do during these hot days. She loved it! Of course, it didn't hurt that one of her very favorite people, Noah Varela, was sharing the pool with her. They all had great fun though!

My 30th Birthday

Well, with all the excitement of the house, I forgot to do a blog post on my 30th birthday. My wonderful husband and mother planned a surprise of having one of my very best friends in the world come out to visit me here in OKC. That is L-O-V-E. :) We had a wonderful weekend that included a massage, dinner out and of course lots of catching up. Unfortunately, there aren't very many pictures of her visit, but we did get this one of us at the zoo (with my very big preggo tummy!)

We are so excited to finally post that John and I are moving and have bought our first house. We close on June 22nd and are in the midst of a move. We all went to a Jazz Festival the Sunday of memorial day weekend and Hannah had a great time! She enjoyed the people watching, her cheerios and of course the music!

We knew she was girl through and through (except for the whole eating dirt and playing with rocks and bark thing), but this clinched it. This little holder was for some lotions someone had given to me. She turned it into a very cute little purse, perfect for her size!

Sweet Kisses

So you may have seen Hannah in action before, but Hannah really likes giving kisses. Specifically to her stuffed animals, babies and dogs. In that order. Every time she gives a kiss, John and I saw "ohhh....that's so sweet". So now every time she gives a kiss she says to herself "ohhhh...." It's pretty cute to watch. Here is a video of her giving a kiss to her stuffed bear and commenting on how "sweet" she is. :) I also added some other cute pics of her offering me food and then "tricking me" by not really giving it to me...she pretty much just gets a kick out of herself...

Kindermusik!

My girlfriend Kristal has been kind enough to host kindermusik for me and a bunch of other moms in the Oklahoma City area every friday morning at our church. Hannah has been loving the music, the dancing, and of course all the older kids to play with. I have been meaning to take pictures for weeks now and finally caught one of the kids singing along to "where are my car keys" with the car keys being played by bells. Also included some cute pics of Hannah smelling and giving kisses to the tulips/flowers in our backyard. Oh yeah...and a video of her walking around ringing a bell from John's office that she was pretty excited about...

Springtime!

I love spring. And this year even more so because I can share it with Hannah, who like a lot of kids, loves being outside. She loves pointing at birds, her absolute favorite and picking up bark and dirt from the ground and of course eating it. That part isn't as fun for me because I have to watch her like a hawk, but she has been loving spending time in our backyard with the few nice days we've had. Below are some of those pics from outside, and then of course one or two sporting her sunglasses. Well, my sunglasses, but she thinks they are hers.

Hannah's first steps!

Hannah's first steps happened on the day we returned from Philly, the 23rd. Maybe she was just so sick of sitting on the plane for so many hours that she said, that's enough, I'm walking! She's hasn't exactly taken off running yet, but she taken steps every day and getting a little more comfortable, my guess would be that in a week or two, she'll be off and running! Here's a video of the momentous occasion!

Our trip to Philly

Well, once again we had a great trip in Philadelphia and Hannah enjoyed seeing all her cousins, aunt/uncle, grandparents and extended family. Part of our trip included a trip to the Jersey shore at my dad's house (the new brighton) to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. Laundry Day

So the other day was laundry day. Well, Hannah had almost no clean clothes because it had been over a week since I had done laundry. So I put her in the below outfit thinking, well, we're not really going out and really she doesn't know that she doesn't match at all. And I really like each of the pieces separately. But then John came home for lunch and told me that her outfit was just too much not to take a picture of because it was so awful! He had to document this day as the day I didn't care what my daughter wore. Is it really all that bad??? She doesn't look too upset about it....

BOY!!! We can hardly even believe it. We are so excited and so surprised and so....I'm not sure....just really excited. I had felt like it was going to be a boy, I know everyone says that, but I really did. But I'm not sure I was actually prepared for the words, you're having a boy. So now begins the process of having to get all new boy clothes and bedding and blankets and so forth. Hannah is going to have a little brother. Wow. We are very very excited to welcome Isaiah Robert on or around August 2nd! :) Here's a picture of the cute little guy.

No More Bottle!

Wow...I can't believe Hannah is off the bottle. Might this be a bigger deal for mama than baby? I think so. Last night was her first night without a bottle and she did great. On another note, Hannah is now enjoying the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) snowstorm this winter and has been enjoying just standing by the window and watching the snow fall. It's the little things.

So Hannah and I were going a little stir crazy during our time inside over the ice and snow storm. So we ventured out to take a walk in the snow while it was snowing and then the next day hannah "played" in the snow. Playing in the snow, eating in the snow, it's all the same to a 1 year old, right? Hannah and I were very lucky as we didn't lose power and now are just hoping for John to get home from Savannah where he missed the whole ordeal!

So John is out of town and Oklahoma is preparing for an ice storm. Needless to say, we are staying in and are preparing for some fun weather. Wow, this is a celebration not only for Hannah, but for Mommy and Daddy! We made it through the first year! What a blessing Hannah has been, we just can not imagine our lives without her. Such a happy and content baby, she is a true joy to be around! We celebrated her first birthday (officially 9:22AM on January 19th) with Hannah's Granny and Gramps, Gigi and Granpa and Grandma and Granpa John. Here are some great pictures of her birthday morning and evening, and a video of her with the cake! What fun!!!

Well....we like to think so. The Locks Christmas

Well, Hannah had a wonderful first christmas filled with lots of family and presents! Who could ask for anything better. My dad came into town a few days before christmas to spend time with us and then Judy and Bill came into town on christmas day and were able to spend time with us as well! One of my dearest friends Karen came to visit us over the past fews days. Hannah was inamorate of her and had a blast. Well, Hannah has been sick now for almost a full week. Not fun for Mama. We took her to the doctor today and he thinks it may be the Rota Virus. Fortunately, she's still been relatively happy and has been taking it all in stride. We definitely had a couple of mommy and hannah jammy days to cope with it though. (I was sick for a couple of days too, so we took it easy :) ) Here are some pictures of our jammy days and then a cute video of her looking through a book, one of her favorite activities!
